The need for an assessment can be tricky to gauge as a parent, and getting some support is a useful first step. Often your child’s kindy or primary school teacher might share some feedback with you that they’ve observed behaviours in your child that are different to what’s expected developmentally for their age. Sometimes, it might be your own observations or concerns, such as delays with speech or social or behavioural challenges. Whatever your concerns or situation, you’re not alone, and early support can make the world of difference to you, your child and your family.
